This great city of San Bernardino, California, occupies most of the San Bernardino Valley, which was called by local tribesman as "The Valley of the Cupped Hand of God". The Tongva Native Americans also called the San Bernardino area Wa'aach in their everyday language. After seeing the huge geological arrowhead rock formation on both sides of the San Bernardino Mountains, where they discovered the hot and cold natural springs. |
